Slowfreeze

Slowfreeze is the artist behind Circular Surrealism, a visual language built around orbs, circles, knights, and recurring symbols of myth, identity, and the infinite.

An Ecuadorian AI Artist since 2022, he treats generative systems as raw material rather than the finished work — generating, dissecting, inpainting, rebuilding, and refining each piece by hand until it becomes his own.

His practice unfolds through a growing universe of 1/1 works, where recurring forms become portals into different worlds, characters, and dimensions.

Circular Surrealism is not a style applied to the work. It is the world the work comes from.

The knights came first. In September 2022, Mystic Knights Genesis emerged on Ethereum — named knights, a tight circle of 21 unique 1/1s. In 2023 the universe grew with the Expansion: 111 unique 1/1s of clans living in harmony with the rhythm of the universe. Based Knights is the sequel on Base: 333 unique 1/1s minted with Transient Labs, five new knights each week, a visual language closer to anime and Japanese culture, and the same obsession with inpainting until the image is inevitable.

Pieces are generated, then inpainted across hundreds of variations, then finished in Lightroom and Procreate, then, when the still can hold more, animated. The process is documented step by step.

This site is the house for that body of work: minted on Ethereum, Base, Tezos, and Solana. Listings live on Transient Labs, Manifold, OpenSea, networked.art, Zora, Objkt, and Mallow. The activity ledger follows the studio wallets slowfreeze.eth, slowfreeze.tez, and slowfreeze.sol.

In April 2024 the work left the screen: Art Den, New York — two limited editions hung in the room. First physical exhibition.
